It was only two months ago we told you that Curio Confections was closing its U-District shop. Now comes word that they re-opened this morning…with a new owner manning the candy counter. Travis Jackson says he’s trying to keep the foundation of Curio the same, while adding a few new items. “We’ll be offering a full espresso menu, pizza (made with our own sauce and dough recipes), and sandwiches (made with our own baked bread) to give Curio a new variety. We will be open 7 days a week with expanded hours. We are also developing our wholesale part of the business. There will be many positive additions to Curio, but we will be keeping the same atmosphere and delicious food that we are known for.” That includes the popular Sunday brunch. Curio is throwing a grand re-opening party tomorrow from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. with free cookies all day!
