I drove to Magnolia last night to visit Fightin’ Cock Roaster one last time — part of a larger piece I was working on — and found a sign on the door announcing that Jon Davis’ tiny takeout restaurant, which opened a few months back and specialized in roasted chicken and sandwiches, was closed for a while for “reconceptualizing.” The sign said they’ll reopen April 1.
