For those of you who love Skillet Street Food but can’t seem to keep track of that roving Airstream trailer, you’ll be happy to know they’re opening a walk-up window downtown on the corner of Fourth Avenue South and South Main Street. Owner Josh Henderson says they’re hoping to start serving in the middle of May, and that the new spot won’t have any seating but will act as their main commissary kitchen. “We’ve been renting space for a while and bouncing around kitchens, but now we’ll finally have our own space,” Henderson tells us. And as Maggie mentioned, this Saturday you can catch Skillet outside the Mariners game in a parking lot on Edgar Martinez Drive South and First Avenue South. Henderson promises Skillet will be there for every evening home game this season.Find restaurant gossip like this plus local food events and great date ideas in our Big Bites e-newsletter, sent out every Tuesday.
