Blago’s nuts about pistachios.Have the people who pimp out pistachios gone off their nut? In a campaign that kicked off last month, these cuckoo nutty nuts trotted out an ad featuring slimeball Rod Blagojevich eating pistachios with a voice over saying: “Rod Blagojevich does it innocently” while he’s shown eating pistachios out of a briefcase that looks as if it’s meant to contain freshly laundered money for the former Illinois gov who has been convicted of lying to the FBI. Why!??This commercial has put me off pistachios for good. I’m not really going to miss them much since they were never on my Top 10 nut list. Which pretty much syncs up with the lineup Harlan Pepper recites during my favorite scene in “Best In Show.” (I’ll have to fast forward through the pistachio portion of the movie now, though.)Here’s Harlan, breaking it down:
