As we mentioned in last week’s paper, the Pellegrini Foundation and the Seattle Weekly are taking nominations for this year’s Angelo Pellegrini Award, which honors a person for his or her contribution to food and dining in the Puget Sound. Contact us at pellegrini@seattleweekly.com to name your favorite cook, farmer, community organizer, or other person in the food world whom you think has shaped the way we eat. The due date for nomations is January 30, and then I’m handing all the nomination letters to our panel of judges to make their decision. We’re going to present the awad on March 11 as part of the Seattle Weekly Food Awards. For more about Angelo Pellegrini, click here. Or follow the links to read profiles of past Pellegrini Award winners Jon Rowley and Armandino Batali.
