After yesterday’s post on Frost Doughnuts in Mill Creek appeared on Voracious, a Frost rep called to give us more info on their expansion plans: The first shop, which has only been open a few months, has become a success so quickly that the owners are a) scrambling to assess how their business model is working and b) realizing that there’s clearly a market for a second, bigger location. All three owners live in walking distance of Mill Creek Town Center, but for location number two they’re looking closer to higher-density areas. Don’t get excited yet, carless Seattleites: It’ll be on the Eastside. In 2010.In unrelated but equally doughnut-specific news…Also in response to the Frost piece, Mighty-O sent a note yesterday saying that they have just begun sending plates of mini doughnuts around the conveyor belts at Blue C Sushi’s Fremont, University Village, Bellevue, and downtown Seattle restaurants. Are doughnuts on demand what diners who eat sushi for health reasons want? Oh, right, Mighty-O doughnuts are vegan. So you’re all good.
