Always wanted to be part of a Guinness Book world record? Happen to be a drummer? You are in luck, my friend. Woodstick 2007 is the fifth annual attempt at setting the world record for largest numbers of drummers playing one song simultaneously (They have world records for everything nowadays). But the bonus is its for charitysponsored by the Rotarians for Hearing Regeneration and benefiting the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center at UW. I vote for it to also win the record for loudest demonstration of irony. Last year at Qwest Field, Woodstick 2006 set the record with 533 drummers. This year theyre aiming for 1,000 drummers, and hope to raise more than $100,000. Registered and sponsored participants can bring their own drum set or they can provide one for you, so you can rock out alongside celeb drummers and others from around the world.
