I am leaving work early today. First there’s the beer, a selection of vintages from the downtown brewery. Which are accompanied by salmon appetizers, designed by Seattle Chefs Collaborative. Then there’s FIN, described as “a two-ton, 25-foot steel and fiberglass salmon on wheels.” On wheels, people! The fish is on wheels! (The better to embark on a national tour, which launches here and culminates in Washington D.C., where FIN will confront Dick Cheney!) And lastly there’s the matter of dams on the lower Snake River, which environmental group Save Our Wild Salmon intends to remove.
