100 Improv Comedy Night

The Moore throws an improv birthday party

For this next scene, we’ll need a suggestion from the audience as to what one would do for their 100th birthday. Did you say host a vaudevillian night of improv performed by the best of Seattle’s comic talent? Great suggestion! To celebrate the Moore Theater’s centennial (officially December 28), the Seattle Theater Group and Theatre Puget Sound host tonight’s “100 Improv Comedy Night,” part of Live Theater Week. Christian Swenson will emcee, and the lineup includes Jet City Improv, Unexpected Productions, and UW’s “The Collective.” They’ll improvise based on “themes from 100 years of performing arts at The Moore Theatre,” meaning anything from modern dance to historical performance goes. After the show, grab a tour of the historic theater led by STG’s staff. What’s your motivation? It’s FREE. Aaaand scene.
