For dog owners, dining out can be fraught with tension: Do we leave the pup at home, where they might do who-knows-what to the carpet; try to find a dog-sitter; or just bring them along and hope the restaurant doesn’t mind? That’s why apprehensive owners like Norm’s so much—it makes no bones (sorry) about its dog-centricity. Well-behaved pooches are always welcome, and it’s a great place for dog lovers to meet and converse with others. Those with dog allergies, phobias, or aversions would be well-served to steer clear, but even if you’re not a dog owner, the quality beer selection and solid food make it worth checking out.
