Northwest Film Forum announced today that its acting director, Lyall Bush, is taking that gig permanently. As previously noted, Bush was running another cultural non-profit, Richard Hugo House, until he mysteriously departed that institution last year. But the chair switching has a happy end for NWFF, which had enjoyed a remarkably stable 12-year-run under Michael Seiwerath, who stepped down last summer. So to new Executive Director Bush we say congratulations and good luck. What’s playing at the cinematheque this weekend? Films about architects, including downtown library designer Rem Koolhaas, as part of the ByDesign 09 festival.
