We can’t imagine new Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik is happy to hear that Ichiro is working out as a pitcher in preparation for the World Baseball Classic, especially after what a stint on the mound did to another outfielder. (Of course, that guy was more juiced than Hans and Franz.)Still, we can’t think of a better incentive to watch the WBC than the prospect of Ichiro pitching. Apparently, he hit 92 MPH–in January.
