If you’re not already planning to see Champagne Champagne, Onry Ozzborn, and Helluvastate at The High Dive or Freeway and Jake One, The Physics and Vitamin D at Neumos, the neon fun going down at Central Cinema is an easy choice. The night has an impressive agenda: drawing its theme from 1990 hip-hop comedy House Party featuring Kid n’ Play and a young Martin Lawrence, the screening is set to be followed with a new jack swing party, complete with a ’90s dance and gear contest and a live performance from hosts (and quasi-retired rap outfit) Mash Hall. The 21+ party starts at 8 p.m. with food and beer for purchase or red Kool-Aid for free, and $11 will get you through the doors.
