Western motif meets downtown bistro with a dash of that old-diner feeling. No, there isn’t sawdust on the floor, but there’s an art deco pile of logs in the back corner, cowskin booths, and bull’s horns on the wall that should make any cowboy feel at home. At happy hour from Tuesday to Friday (3 to 6 p.m.), the Frontier Room has bottles of Budweiser, Bud Light, and PBR at a buck each for broke buckaroos. Two-inch dinner rolls with slowly roasted beef brisket or pork are also a single dollar. A large selection of draft beer from Guinness to Pilsner is available at $3.50 to $4.75. There is also a massive wall of liquor behind the bar, and martinis are $4 at happy hour. If you’re just hungry or underage, the front of the establishment is an old-fashioned diner with stools at a counter and the kitchen in view. 2203 First Ave., 206-956-7427 BELLTOWN
