Round 104 When talented artists—visual, sound-based, or otherwise—come together to create, they tend to bring out the best in one another. The Round, which finds songwriters, slam poets, and visual artists sharing a stage, has coaxed that collaborative spirit since its creation in 2005. Round 104 features Matt Bishop and Sam Anderson of Hey Marseilles, Cumulus’ Alexandra Niedzialkowski, and Sophia Duccini. Fremont Abbey. 8 p.m. $8–$16. All ages. ACP

Mark Hummell’s Blues Harmonica Blowout Hummell has been hosting his harmonica blowout for more than 20 years now, and with names like John Mayall, Curtis Salgado, Rick Estrin, Little Charlie Baty, and James Harman in the lineup, this could be the best one yet. All you mouth-harp lovers better start lining up now. Jazz Alley. Through Wed. 7:30 p.m. $30.50. CR

Yet new songs like “Girls/Girls/Boys” and “Miss Jackson” are sure to pair nicely with deeper cuts for an exceptionally glam live set. With The Colourist, X Ambassadors. Showbox SoDo. 7 p.m. SOLD OUT. You know him from Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band and Iska Dhaaf, but now Benjamin Verdoes is taking the stage all by his lonesome to perform songs for the release of his new solo record The Evil Eye—an album, he says, he made for a “beautiful person” and as “a rebuttal to those seemingly powerful forces that tell you what you can and cannot do.” With Valley Maker, Tomo Nakayama. Tractor Tavern. 8 p.m. $8. 21 and over. KS
