KUBE 93 FM Haunted House

According to the Historic Morgue Society, the Georgetown Morgue opened in 1924. Four decades later, during an earthquake, a crematorium tower fell on one of its owners, killing him. Still later the facility became a meatpacking plant—its floors covered with brains, gore, and entrails. So it’s the perfect location for this year’s KUBE 93 FM Haunted House (through Nov. 1). DJs will be on hand to help terrify your tots outside the tour, which is recommended for ages 12 and up. Today, however, there’s a scare-free kiddie event (noon to 3 p.m.) with pumpkin coloring and costume contests. But please, for the love of all that is holy and sacred, don’t play any more Mariah Carey, because that shit will make your ears bleed. Former Georgetown Morgue, 5000 E. Marginal Way S., www.kube93.com. $10–$25. 7 p.m.–midnight. ERINN UNGER

Wednesdays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 25. Continues through Nov. 1, 2008
