Yourexhalekiss (Wikimedia Commons)For those of you who haven’t seen anything with the Hatchetman on it, this car is covered in them. Two men who allegedly beat a man to death in 2008 are about to go to trial. The victim, Noel Lopez, died after sustaining brain injuries and a pierced lung.At least one of the alleged attackers, Steven Bauder, is a juggalo, as the Seattle PI reports: Bauder is a “Juggalo” — a follower of the hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse — and “referred to himself as an ‘enforcer’ and ‘protector’ of kids on the street,” Detective Russ Weklych wrote in a probable cause document.Bauder has a tattoo of the Insane Clown Posse Hatchetman, common amongst juggalos and occasionally people who had a particularly regrettable year/month/night of juggalo-dom in their youth. Police say he also left a detailed statement on videotape admitting to the attack, which seems like a far more important piece of evidence. With increased mainstream attention to juggalos recently, parents are getting freaked out–but how could you be this scared of Juggalos after watching Juggalo Island?Either way, when “juggalo” starts coming standard with quotes (oregonlive.com calls Bauder’s legal proceedings the “‘Juggalo’ Trial”), it’s probably a good time to get those old tattoos removed and be able to take your shirt off in front of your friends again. No word on whether his alleged partner in crime, Marcus D. Dennis, is also a juggalo. Stay tuned for whether the Hatchetman is probable cause.
