Yesterday brought a bizarre missive from the McGinn campaign: Under the headline “Mallahan 2.0”, and citing “multiple sources,” it predicted a number of things about the Mallahan campaign. For example: Mallahan will be naming Chamber of Commerce Chair Tayloe Washburn the head of his advisory committee. Mallahan will be releasing one policy paper a week. Mallahan will criticize the cost of McGinn’s proposal to create a light rail proposal. All that was missing, really, was the “xoxo.” So while the McGinn campaign is at it, here’s a few more questions we’d like answered:-Is it true that Joe Mallahan will issue multiple press releases before November’s election?-What’s Joe Mallahan going to have for lunch tomorrow?-Will people ever ride the SLUT like they ride the 54 bus?-What will that crazy B Georgina Sparks do next? Will Blair stop her?-Will Joe Mallahan say he’d make a better mayor than Mike McGinn?-Will Serena and her dad ever reconnect? Will their estrangement drive her to rehab, or worse?-Will Joe Mallahan learn to ride a bike? Does he already secretly know how?-Does Mike Bike?-What will Chuck wear?-What would Greg Nickels do?The campaign’s long, so just like we wouldn’t want all the answers in episode 1–btw, is college going to kill the show? This guy doesn’t think so–we don’t need all the answers in one e-mail. But we do need a reason to keep tuning back in. So, until next time, McGinnies, xoxo…
