The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember, I said it standing here, if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.It’s a weird statement that leaves a lot of room for a “he’s not ready” kind of attack, which has sort of been McCain’s strategy all along and hasn’t worked out so well for him so I don’t expect it to do much damage. But it’s still an odd thing to say. Maybe Biden was just succumbing to that cynicism us Seattleites slip into as the days get shorter and rainier every fall.
