West Seattle BlogPolice taking the suspect into custody at his West Seattle apartment.Last night a 33-year-old taxi driver approached a 19-year-old woman at the intersection of 23rd and Jackson. Driving a car he said he’d recently stolen from a “friend,” the cabbie told the victim he had a gun and demanded she get in the car.The cabbie then took the victim to an apartment in West Seattle, where he tried to assault her. After robbing her, the victim managed to escape and call 911. The suspect was quickly apprehended by police while trying to drive away.Central District News reports that the attacker was listed on two protection orders last year and has two dismissed domestic assault charges on his record. He was booked into the King County Jail on multiple charges, including investigation of kidnapping, assault, rape, robbery, and vehicle theft.
