We traditionalists (or Luddites) who prefer to vote at the polls, got a little treat today, a “i voted! 2008” sticker, with the notation: “farewell to polls.” Ah, but there will be a kinda poll next year when we go to all-mail voting – central polling halls at three locations in the county, sort of polls on steroids. Well, it’s something.BTW, as history will note, I was exactly the 500th person at my church down the street to put the paper ballot into the scanner. “That’s more than we’ve ever had here,” said the scanner generalisimo, “and there’s six hours to go!”
