ORGANIZATION: Black-clad marching band hell-bent on making a wondrous cacophony at political protests in the Northwest and wherever the WTO meets and wherever the hell else they feel like making a ruckus.
AGENDA: Stirring shit up.
BEST STUNTS PULLED: Crashing the Police Pride Rally after WTO in 1999. Storming Starbucks and Banana Republicand not harming one piece of yuppie fineryduring the May Day 2001 march in Portland. Leading New Year’s Eve marches down Pine Street.
MODUS OPERANDI: Prior to a scheduled protest march, INB suddenly appears from out of nowhere, drumming, twirling rifles, singing insupposedlyBengali. The scene looks like a Russian constructivist poster come to life. Crowd is enlivened. Ritualistic dancing occurs in streets. Cops look on. March begins with INB leading. Somewhere before march’s end, INB disappears stealthily up a side street, down a blind alley, under the po-po’s radar.
