Update: A family friend says that Terri Horman has taken two lie-detector tests. Last week I made fun of internet sleuths who said sketchy Facebook status updates were enough to declare Kyron Horman’s stepmother the main suspect in the Portland second-grader’s disappearance. Now the Willamette Week is giving credence to those suspicions, reporting that the investigation is “increasingly focusing” on Moulton Horman because she can’t seem to keep her story straight. The search for Kyron has focused on Sauvie Island, a stretch of land five miles from the elementary school where Moulton Horman said she last saw him. Multiple sources tell the Weekly that Kyron’s stepmother’s story doesn’t match her cell phone records, which indicate she was on Sauvie the day he disappeared.Despite the fact that search efforts have been scaled back, Kyron’s case seems to be gaining more media momentum. This week he’ll be on the cover of People and featured on America’s Most Wanted. For more, check out Kyron Horman’s Stepmom Implicated By Facebook Sleuths.UPDATE: Jaymie Finster, who has known Terri Horman since junior high, says that the stepmom was scheduled to take a second polygraph on Saturday.Finster says that Horman is “tired and frustrated with the intensity of the questioning she’s been getting.”The Multnomah County Sheriff’s office isn’t confirming Finster’s account. But they have admitted to towing the Horman’s pickup truck shortly after Kyron disappeared. Strangely, the sheriff’s office says they did that for “mechanical reasons,” not because Terri or her husband are suspects.
