Unless voters say so come November, this guy will still be breaking the law.Last Wednesday we said legislation that would legalize marijuana was going up in smoke. Then, yesterday, medical marijuana lawyer and Sensible Washington initiative-starter Doug Hiatt told Daily Weekly the same thing. Now, it’s official.As The Daily Herald reports, tomorrow a House committee is expected to vote down two bills. One that would have decriminalized pot. And another that would have legalized it.Which leaves Sensible Washington’s voter initiative as the last man standing for those who think weed should carry with it no penalties. (Which, according to a recent poll, is a majority of the state.)
