Two weeks after Rick Anderson broke the story that the city was going to pull the plug on its multi-million dollar public toilet experiment (and Mark Fefer opined on the matter for good measure a week after that), the rest of the press is catching up, and failing to give credit where credit is due. Confidential to McCumber and the Blethens: When one of your reporters basically rewrites a story that’s been published elsewhere many moons ago, the clause “first reported in the Seattle Weekly” will suffice. That’s not so much to ask, is it?
