Tracks of a thief? Or just an attempt to capitalize on a growing legend?Forget souvenir t-shirts. Now, if you want a piece of Barefoot Burglar memorabilia, you can get it in the form of footprints. An Orcas Island woman who believes Colton Harris-Moore took a few fortuitous steps outside of her chicken coop is now doing the most American thing she can think of: turning a profit off of a fugitive’s notoriety. For only $300, you can be the proud owner of the two plaster castings she made of footprints believed to belong to Moore. “Along with the castings I will enclose some articals from local news papers and a magazine,” reads the ad. “Also some pictures of the tracks.”So far no one has bid on the item. Maybe because most interested parties are waiting for a chance to get a framed copy of his mugshot.
