These guys? Real tight.Social media research firm Vitrue has just come out with a new tool designed to help companies figure out how much their Facebook fan pages are worth. The big winner? Seattle’s own Starbucks, which Vitrue calculates has a $20 million page, one of the highest valued around. The virtues of Vitrue’s new toy (see what I did there?) are debatable. As is the virtue of almost any tool that claims to put an exact figure on what is an inexact science; marketing is a slippery field that’s tough to pin down and measure. But if you take the calculations at face-value, Starbucks is sitting on a gold mine.According to Vitrue, Starbucks could be making $76 million if only it “optimized” its page. A process which includes sending out even more posts, links and videos every day to its millions of fans. And you thought Facebook was annoying now.
