There are many less destructive ways to get back at your girlfriend than the route supposedly taken by one Eric Potter. The 30-year-old Gold Bar man could have flirted with a co-worker or stayed out all night without checking in. Instead, he allegedly decided to punish his beloved in one of the most sadistic ways possible: by stomping her puppy to death.Police were called to the woman’s home last week after the couple had an argument. There she told them that Potter had hit her, broken a few windows and stepped on the head of one of her puppies. When cops caught up with Potter, he reportedly struggled while he was getting arrested. He also admitted to stomping the dog, then taking it outside to “finish it off.” Police later found the dead puppy in a bush in the woman’s backyard. For violating the 11th Commandment — Thou Shalt Not Take Your Anger Out On Vulnerable Puffballs — Potter is facing charges of first-degree animal cruelty, fourth-degree domestic violence assault and malicious mischief. And if his amor has any sense, he’ll also most likely be in the market for a new girlfriend soon.
