The Peace Corps says Washington is one of the best states for recruiting volunteers.For 2013 volunteers, the University of Washington (107 volunteers), Western Washington University (73) and Gonzaga University (24) were top recruiting schools in their categories of large, medium and small colleges.Five other universities in Washington state also made the Peace Corps top college rankings this year, for the number of alumni who are serving as volunteers. Those schools are Seattle University, University of Puget Sound, The Evergreen State College, Whitman College and Pacific Lutheran University.
