But people do seem to get addicted to the Internet. And America’s only in-patient Internet addiction treatment facility is located nearby, in Fall City. Like Seattle’s John School, it has only one patient so far. He dropped out of college after he picked up the game World of Warcraft and ended up playing 17 hours a day. Explains the AP:Alexander is so far the only patient of the program, which uses a cold turkey approach. He spends his days in counseling and psychotherapy sessions, doing household chores, working on the grounds, going on outings, exercising and baking a mean batch of ginger cookies.Whether such programs work in the long run remains to be seen.
