The kids called the spot under the stairs “The Jungle” because that’s where a lot of Auburn high school’s black students hung out between classes. As stupid as that sounds, what senior Andrew Carel and his friend Kyle did next was even dumber. The two boys tied bananas to some fishing line and left it hanging over the gathering place. They thought the prank was funny. The school did not. Now the two boys are banned from Sunday’s graduation ceremony.
