The Daily Beast is out with yet another one of its lists, and this one offers good news for Seattle’s most eligible bachelor and bacheloretts. It seems Seattle ranks 6th in the nation in terms of best places in the nation to find a date. Bellevue placed 16th among the Beast’s top 25 cities.The criteria used is the number of single men and women in each cities based on U.S. Census data from 2008-2010, the average media singles salary, which of course frees up more money to date, and the level of good emotional well-being and physical health. Also, the survey employed Google Trends to gauge the prevalency of going to various dating sites, such as match.com and eHarmony.comBy this measure, Seattle ranks high, with the percentage of single men and women at 59 and 60 percent, respectively, and a median singles salary of $44,179.Bellevue’s single population is a good deal lower, 41 percent men and 42 percent women, though it median singles salary is more than $55,000.No. 1 on the list is Atlanta, followed by Gainesville, Florida, and Lincoln, Nebraska.
