Susan Powell went missing nearly three months ago. When Josh Powell’s wife, Susan, first went missing from their Salt Lake City home on December 6, the father of two had support from all sides, even from her family. Now, not even his new neighbors seem to believe in his innocence.Josh’s public actions have always seemed shady. He claimed not to know what happened to Susan because he’d taken his two young sons camping the night she disappeared, despite sub-freezing temperatures.Susan’s friends and family gradually began talking about how Josh was a controlling husband. And how Susan had wanted to leave but stuck around for the sake of her boys. Reports that only gained legitimacy when he lawyered up.KOMOOne of Russell’s purple ribbons.Having since moved from Utah to Puyallup, Josh is now being confronted with another reminder of his wife’s disappearance: purple ribbons. Colleen Russell, one of Josh’s new neighbors, has started a campaign to tie ribbons and put up fliers all over the gated community where they both live. She even put one up on the light post directly opposite his house.Speaking for all spouse’s with common sense, Russell told KOMO of her little project, “If that were my husband…I would stay in that town…I would stay in that home until he came back or until a body was found.”
