Sorry, folks. There’s no way to sugarcoat this: The son of a 97-year-old man is suing an Everett nursing home after his dad died of an untreated penile infection. The lawsuit from the man’s son, filed Wednesday in Snohomish County Superior Court, says the father was taken to an emergency room, where doctors discovered his penis had decayed, leaving only a gaping wound. He died 18 days later, in March 2008.According to the lawsuit, a nurse alerted the home’s manager about the unfortunate man’s wound but the manager somehow forgot. That’s right. The manager managed to forget that someone in his care had had his penis removed in favor of a gaping wound. When reached for comment, the god of karma said he was unsure what he’d do to the manager in retaliation. But he promised to get back to us as soon as he’d figured out a fate worse than “decaying penis.”
