Republican Senatorial candidate Dino Rossi is making life much easier for the competition. First he said if elected he’d do away with earmarks, precisely the kind of pork that bolsters the resume of incumbent Patty Murray. Now, days after getting less votes than Sarah Palin-endorsed Tea Party candidate Clint Didier at the state’s GOP convention, Rossi is proving himself a man of the people by advising people who are richer than all the other people.Following up a scheduled appearance where he talked about how to profit by buying foreclosed homes, Rossi is now speaking at a similar dinner that poses the question, “Is now the time to buy a waterfront home?”The event has the same banal “7 Steps to Maximize Your Wealth” feel to it that any other Jock-Jams-for-business types dinner has. It’s just curious that Rossi would continue to make these kinds of public appearances long after he’d announced his candidacy, an event that didn’t even warrant an in-the-flesh stump speech.
