The percentage of police brutality cases in which women officers (who fill 12.7 percent of police jobs) are charged with using excessive force, according to the National Center for Women and Policing. The sponsors of the study suggest that females—in addition to being less likely to belch, scratch themselves, and hog the remote—tend to possess more effective communication and negotiation skills and should be hired in greater numbers.
