Not sure what the scissors are for, but the sign makes a good point.Last Friday night, Roy Messenger called a relative to help him get his car out of a ditch. The 50-year-old Elma man had suffered no injuries as a result of plowing into a power line. But when family finally made it to the scene Messenger was dead.So what happened in between the time Messenger phoned his family? Someone else called. Nature, to be precise.A deputy with Grays Harbor County sheriff’s office says that Messenger likely died as a result of peeing in the ditch and onto the live wire he’d knocked over. How does he know? An autopsy will confirm the cause of death, but right now burn marks paint a pretty clear picture of how electricity entered Messenger’s body.
