News that it took nearly eight minutes between the time a social worker called 911 to report that Josh Powell’s children were in danger and the time Pierce County deputies were dispatched — and then another 14 minutes for a deputy to get to the home — has touched a raw nerve. (See Seeingred’s Comment of the Day after the jump.) Wow. I know hindsight is 20/20, but I’m blown away how this dispatcher is arguing about and focusing on details that seem pretty irrelevant. I’m sorry, but every time I hear a 911 call, I’m always surprised by the tone of the 911 dispatchers. It’s obvious they need to remain calm, but it always sounds like they are irritated they received an ER call.Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
