Mike McGinn and Joe Mallahan are not musicians — or at least we’re not aware that they are. Nonetheless, the two mayoral candidates have agreed to square off on the stage of Conor Byrne at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 as part of our annual REVERB music festival in Downtown Ballard. John Roderick, the forever clever Long Winters frontman, and I will moderate the half-hour forum, and there will be live music before and after at the Ballard Ave. pub. Admission to the event is included in the cost of a wristband, which guarantees entry to all venues throughout the day for those aged 21 years or over (there are also a handful of all-ages venues; however, Conor Byrne isn’t one of them).
