Medical examiners haven’t identified the body found inside the blaze.Last night, investigators from the Seattle Fire Department made a grisly discovery at the scene of a house fire in South Park. The SFD says that around 8:20 p.m., a neighbor walking her dog spotted smoke and flames shooting out of a garage located at 503 S. Trenton Street. The family inside the attached home was immediately alerted as the flames began to spread to the attic, and all escaped without injury. But after a crew of more than 50 firefighters finally brought the blaze under control, fire-department officials found human remains in the garage where the blaze evidently began. The as-yet-unidentified body is currently in the care of the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. There’s obviously more to this story. We’ll have the info as it comes.
