Mark Seamands allegedly used a piece of hot iron to burn these

Mark Seamands allegedly used a piece of hot iron to burn these initials into the flesh of his three kids.Parents usually show how proud they are of their kids by pasting one of those “Honor Roll Student” bumper stickers on the back of their minivans. But Mark Seamands allegedly likes to go a more permanent route. Namely, by branding his kids as if they were cattle. The Sequim man is accused of marking the initials SK, for “Seamands’ Kids,” onto the flesh of his two teenage sons, now 15 and 17, and his 18-year-old daughter. “My youngest boy, it’s on his chest. My middle boy, it’s on his arm and my daughter — it’s on the back of her leg,” Alison Davis, the children’s mother, told KIRO News.Davis is Seamands’ ex-wife. So she’s understandably upset that her former husband is permanently scarring their kids. The children, on the other hand, profess to being proud of the mark.Seamands’ daughter isn’t pressing charges because she was old enough to consent. And the boys are expected to testify in defense of their father, who faces two counts of assault.Of course, like any good leader of the household, Seamands wouldn’t force any of his offspring to do something he wouldn’t. That’s why he’s allegedly going to take the stand in his defense and show the jury his own brand.
