If there had to be a tie in this category, thank goodness it was Jak’s and the Met. The two restaurants offer different versions of the steakhouse experience–one neighborhood oriented with no-reservations policy, the other fancy and formal–but one thing unites them: they’re quintessential, homegrown Seattle institutions that never miss when it comes to service and, of course, their namesake menu staple: beef.
