I thought something was weird when both the P.I. and Stranger, in respective stories on the imminent closure of Sunset Bowl, both claimed that there will be five bowling alleys remaining in the “city limits” once the Ballard pin emporium turns off the lights this April. There will actually only be three: West Seattle, Imperial (off Rainier), and the Garage (four if you want to count the bowling alley in HUB, which may or may not be restricted to UW students and staff). Today, the P.I. corrected itself. No such humility on 11th Ave. just yet. (Update: Evidently, the reporter who penned the Stranger piece based her five-count on a premature annexation of White Center, which would expand Seattle to include Roxbury and Magic Lanes.)
