I blogged last Friday about how the folks running the Waterfront Restaurant had cordoned off Pier 70, cutting off public access and putting out restaurant tables instead. This is in clear violation of city regulations, as they were explained by DPD to our Brian Miller last year. Well, I’m pleased to report that the restaurant has modified their behavior. Stopping by yesterday evening I found that they still have tables out to the edge of the pier, but have removed the velvet rope and signs telling the public to keep out. Restaurant patrons are now subject to wayward tourists, and the likes of me, wandering past their tables as we, too, enjoy the views.
