Here’s my fair and balanced assessment of Seattle Weekly’s Reverb Local Music Festival: It stands a cut above for being the city’s biggest only-local music festival. With 60-plus bands performing every year (Reverb helped Fleet Foxes and Cave Singers, among others, garner more widespread recognition), there is no better snapshot of what the local scene is producing than this, scheduled for Oct. 8 at a dozen stages around Ballard Avenue and its tributaries.
