From the grossest story imaginable to the most tragic, the Daily Weekly is in a giving mood this Friday. Jacob Banks, the 6-year-old Elma boy who was shot in the head by his 8-year-old brother on Wednesday, died today. While Banks’ mother was napping, he and his older brother found the key to the safe that held the family’s .45. When investigators arrived, they found Banks with a bullet wound to the head.At first, Banks’ brother said that the boy had shot himself. But after a longer talk with police, the boy eventually admitted to shooting his kid brother.Criminal charges will most likely not be filed, as Washington law presumes a kid 8-years-old and younger doesn’t have the capacity to understand the consequences of his or her actions.
