Well all that’s about to change, because Howard Schultz wants Starbucks to take over the world’s fastest-growing market.Schultz told The Wall Street Journal that he plans on opening “thousands” of stores in China over the next couple years. He’s also trying to break into the “lucrative Indian and Vietnamese markets,” which are blessedly free of the coffee chain. For now.Of course, as Melissa Allison points out, Schultz has been lusting after China for years. Which is smart. Because it’ll only be a matter of time before they’re able to build a cheaper, more reliable cup of coffee.
