Argosy Christmas Ship Festival—Hop on board The Spirit of Seattle, the official Christmas Ship, decked with thousands of white lights and other holiday decorations. Black Nativity—Intiman Theater presents the third annual run of Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity: A Gospel Song Play, performed by Reverend Dr. Samuel B. McKinney, Pastor Patrinell Wright, the Total Experience Gospel Choir, narrators Gael To’mas Jones and Vivian Phillips, and dancers Bertram Johnson and Erricka Turner, with choreography by Kabby Mitchell III. X-mas at the Johnsons (An Evening of Real Art)—A Theater Under the Influence presents this celebration of the Association for Real Art, also known as the Oberiu, an avant-garde art group active in Leningrad between 1918 and the mid-1930s. Piffaro, Renaissance Wind Band—”Piffaro puts the rowdy and rambunctious back into music before the time of Bach,” said Esquire magazine. If the 16th century is your thing, don’t miss two holiday concerts that feature Piffaro’s rich, varied repertoire of the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods (1400-1625).
