Emeritus SW editor Skip “Mossback” Berger has a wonderful column over on Crosscut, wherein he opines on the disconnect between green builders and preservationists, and argues that Dubuque, Iowa is the greenest downton on earth — and Cuba has the cleanest vehicular community. As Skip does with the best of his columns, what at first seems like a simple slice of grumpy old contrarianism actually ends up making a fuckton of sense.
