Daily Weekly regulars know I have a bit of an obsession with King County Executive Ron Sims’ Twitter page. He posted regular updates from the Democratic National Convention, including gems like: “Denver is very hot. I forgot to drink lots of water. Just left a reception after drinking four bottles of water. Still got heat sick. Ugh!” and “They’ve started the wave.”Well now, with over 400 followers, Sims is something of a Twitter celebrity and the King County Council wants in on the action. They started their own page, planning to emphasize budget developments. The first tweet, posted 39 minutes ago: “Budget panel now examining a proposal to save Metro bus service but cut $70 million in costs. http://www.kingcounty.gov/c…”Snooze. I want posts on who’s falling asleep during meetings, or Gossett and Phillips’ plan to start a karaoke duo: LarryX2. Let’s kick it up a notch, Council!
